With an engraved printer's device on the title pages and 2,752 woodcuts. The woodcuts, generally reduced to a height of approximately 12 cm, are partly derived from previously published works and partly executed after plants supplied to the author, among others, by Lobelius.
The first Latin edition appeared in 1586–87.
